His almost savant ability to recreate, from memory, a mechanical pocket watch by altering rudimentary farm tools into specifically designed and meticulously-handcrafted implements necessary for horological craftsmanship, is nothing short of epic. This was in 1679...!! Today, in La Chaux-de-Fonds you will find a small memorial to this seminal achievement...A museum housing the tools and tooling machines in a building known as "Villa JeanRichard". The gamble, you ask...? Daniel JeanRichard has changed their name to simply: JeanRichard. Ergo, an alphabetical shift in the buyers mental catalog may exclude people from any other search than the older Daniel JeanRichard moniker timepieces.
